Penny Tooth

Penny Garcia is trying to write a book of poetry, but she can’t shake the feeling that she’s living in the shadow of her boyfriend. He’s a fast-rising star in the art world with an upcoming solo show at a blue chip gallery. To make matters worse, she hates her day job and has mysterious dental pain that just won’t go away. Will Penny be able to find her voice despite her aching tooth and bruised ego?

A series of two fictionalized autobio zines. Fun studies in character-based narrative. Hellbaby and the Eternal Lethargy is distributed by Lost Doll Comics.

This comic was shortlisted for the Broken Pencil Zine Awards (Best Fanzine) in 2020. You can listen to me read it for Canada Comic Open Library's Comics Out Loud.

Anthologies

I have two comics featured in Pulping Vol. 1, an issue that featured Toronto-based cartoonist writing about comics. We won Outstanding Anthology at the Ignatz Awards in 2024!

Bubbles Zine shouted out my story "cyberx.exe" in the first issue of porn anthology Afternoon Affair released by Gynoid Press. Thank you!
